1. Adult-directed service
BagTag's claim, privacy, and media flows are for an adult parent or legal guardian. The adult—not the child—provides information about a youth athlete to verify a league award. BagTag does not create child accounts, public player profiles, follower systems, direct messages, leaderboards, or behavioral advertising profiles.
2. Required award information
To verify an award, BagTag uses the player's name, team, scheduled game, award slot, adult name and email, and adult attestation. The league sees the information needed to run and investigate the award. A selected reward partner sees only the limited confirmation information needed at the counter. Sponsors receive aggregate reporting, not family identity or contact details.
3. Reward is not conditioned on publicity
A story, display name, photo, or any future enabled video, website, or social permission is never required to receive or redeem an award. Declining optional content does not reduce the reward or league recognition.
4. Adult warranties
- The submitter is at least 18 and is the parent, legal guardian, or otherwise has lawful authority.
- The submitter owns the content or has permission from the owner.
- The submitter has authority for each recognizable minor or adult.
- The content does not reveal unnecessary sensitive, location, schedule, school, medical, or contact information.
- The content follows the Acceptable Use and Content Guidelines.
5. Separate choices
The upload screen records separate choices for upload rights, photo, public display name, league website, and league social use, plus video only where that feature is safely enabled. Permission for one use is not permission for another. Website publication requires current website permission and the relevant media/name choices. Social use requires a separate social choice.
6. Limited license
For each use the adult affirmatively permits, the adult grants the league and BagTag a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, review, resize, crop, caption, and display the content only for the identified BagTag recognition purpose, channels, and program. The license lasts until withdrawal or the stated program term, subject to a reasonable takedown period, backups, content already lawfully printed or distributed, and records necessary to prove consent or respond to a dispute. No merchandising, model training, unrelated advertising, or sale of the media is authorized by this release.
7. Moderation and publication
A provider upload or moderator approval does not make content public. The league must create and publish a highlight separately. The league should use a limited display name, inspect the content, honor every current permission, and avoid details that create a safety risk. BagTag may reject, withdraw, unpublish, or remove content even when permission exists.
8. Media providers and metadata
Submitted photos are signature-, size-, and checksum-validated, kept in private object storage for an authenticated moderator preview, and copied to Reimage only after approval. This is not an automated malware or child-safety scan. New production video upload and approval are disabled until authoritative provider type, byte, duration, safety-result, and private-preview controls are implemented and reviewed. Leagues should not encourage originals containing precise location metadata; BagTag may transform approved media and remove metadata as part of delivery.
9. Withdrawal
A verified adult may request media withdrawal through /privacy/requests. The league should promptly unpublish affected highlights; BagTag will disable public delivery and process provider deletion subject to operational confirmation, legal holds, dispute evidence, and backup aging. Withdrawal does not make a past lawful publication impossible to have been seen or copied by others.
10. COPPA and local obligations
Whether a particular service is subject to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act depends on its audience, collection, knowledge, and other facts. BagTag's adult-directed design is not a substitute for a documented legal assessment. A league must not use BagTag to circumvent parental notice or verifiable parental consent where those obligations apply, and it must obtain any school, club, publicity, or local permissions required for its program.
